New Electric Panel Installed — waiting for juice from the Power Company

Power to the Farm runs underground through the future building site, therefore, before the electric company could route the new power safely around the building site, we needed to construct a new service panel to receive power from the pole. After contacting many different electrical firms to ensure this was the case,  it was decided we needed a new service panel. Local master electrician Earl Morgan and his team prepared the panel to receive power once the electric company comes to pull it from the pole. Once done, they will be able to deal with any electrical issues that might pop up.

August: power company contacted to come survey the site to approve our electrician’s plan to re-route the power.

September 28: Engineer from Mon Power (First Energy) finally comes out to approve electrician’s plan for re-routing power around the building site. An electrician must wait for Mon Power to order and send him the appropriate electric panel.

October: Caretakers erect new mounting board for future electric panel.

November 15: Electrician receives panel from Mon Power and installs panel over the course of two days on the mounting board we erected.
