Maintenance Garage:
Interior Framing, March 2023

Having worked in March and April 2023 to install loft floor joists in Bay 4, and build out interior walls for the utility room and stairwell, volunteers from Camden, NJ, came in May to help sheath the walls in the stairwell and build the landing for the loft stairs.

In June 2023, Farm Crews helped frame out the loft stairs, lay down flooring in loft Bay 4, erect and sheath walls in loft bay 4, and move any materials up into the loft from the main garage area (leaving some materials in the wood shop area). The garage is much more useful now that we have stair access to the loft and now that the main floor is not full of construction materials (as you can see from the photos below).

Next, we’ll continue framing out the interior, run the wiring, install the vehicle lift, insulate the auto shop and wood shop, sheath the interior walls, build out the work benches and shelving, and outfit the auto shop and wood shop.
